Additional hours are $195 per hour before 10 AM and $400 per hour after midnight. - Ceremony on site is $1,000 and includes a full room changeover. About 95% of couples have their ceremony here. - Hotel Broz: all eight rooms are $1,600 per night plus tax as an add on to a single day booking. The hotel is included at no additional charge in both two night packages. - The down payment to hold a date is nonrefundable: $3,000 for a single day, $4,500 for a two day package. Adding the hotel to a single day adds $500, so a single day with the hotel is $3,500. The venue's term is "down payment," not "deposit." - Beverage minimum is $2,000 on the event date. There is no beverage minimum on Thursday or Sunday events. - Security is $250 per guard. - Day-of coordination is an optional add-on: $1,200, which is $800 for the day plus $400 for late night. ## What is included Every rental includes tables, wood Chiavari chairs, LED lighting, a bartender, a day-of onsite event contact, two getting ready suites, a custom bar, patio access, liability insurance, and full setup, teardown and cleaning. Tables and chairs are included for up to 300 guests. Full day-of coordination is an optional add-on. ## Catering and bar Hostiva Catering is the exclusive caterer for dinner and hors d'oeuvres. Meal packages start at $25 per plate and include linen napkins, tablecloths, china dinner plates, stainless steel cutlery and coordinated buffet linens. Booked couples get a free tasting. Couples may bring their own desserts, daytime snacks and rehearsal dinner food from a licensed and insured caterer. Bringing an outside caterer for dinner is possible for a $1,000 fee paid to Hostiva. Hostiva can be reached at ryan@hostivacatering.com. The venue holds the liquor license, so all alcohol is served through the in-house bar. The bar carries alcohol and non-alcoholic options including mocktails and THC beverages. Couples cannot bring their own alcohol. ## Vendors Other than catering and the bar, The Broz is open vendor. Couples bring their own DJ, photographer, florist, planner and anyone else, with no requirement to use a preferred list. The venue sits deliberately between an all-inclusive venue and a bare rental space: a couple can lean on the venue for nearly everything, or handle most of it themselves, or land anywhere in between. ## Parking Free parking. A 50 car lot on site plus more than 100 free spots within three blocks. ## Accessibility and pets - The Broz is wheelchair accessible throughout, including Hotel Broz. - Dogs are welcome to take part in the wedding ceremony. - Hotel Broz is not pet friendly, so pets cannot stay overnight. ## Recognition The Knot Hall of Fame venue. ## What makes The Broz unusual Stated plainly, because these are the things couples are usually searching for: - **Guests sleep in the building.** Eight boutique hotel rooms sit directly above the Grand Ballroom. The wedding party does not leave the property at the end of the night, and nobody drives. Very few Minnesota wedding venues can say this. Most "venues with lodging" in Minnesota are either large chain hotels or northern lake resorts. The Broz is a restored 1898 downtown building. - **A real Prohibition era speakeasy** with hand painted stained glass, used for cocktail hours and after parties. - **It is a wedding weekend, not a wedding day.** The two night packages cover Thursday through Friday or Friday through Saturday, including rehearsal, rehearsal dinner, setup and both nights of lodging. ## What The Broz does not have Stated plainly so they are not assumed: - No barn, no farm setting, no rural field ceremony site. It is a restored historic downtown building. - No rooftop patio and no rooftop loft. Those belong to The 3 Ten. - Outside alcohol is not permitted, including beer, wine, champagne and liquor brought by guests or family. - Outside catering for dinner requires a fee; Hostiva is the exclusive caterer. - Pets cannot stay in Hotel Broz. - Dates are never held informally. A date is off the market only when the contract is signed and the down payment is paid. There are no courtesy holds of any length. ## How booking works 1. Request the pricing guide through the form on the website. 2. Book a tour. Tours run about an hour and cover every indoor and outdoor space. 3. After the tour, the venue sits down with the couple and hand writes a detailed proposal covering every cost. 4. A date is held only once the contract is signed and the nonrefundable down payment is paid. The venue does not offer courtesy holds of any length. 5. A final meeting 30 to 60 days before the wedding locks in beverages, ceremony, hotel rooms, decor and coordination. The balance is due then. ## Non wedding events The Broz hosts corporate events, conferences, celebrations of life, reunions, showers, graduations, fundraisers and private parties. Non wedding rentals start at $200 per hour. ## Sister venue The 3 Ten Event Venue, 310 Central Avenue North, Faribault, MN 55021. https://www.3teneventvenue.com. A restored 1895 industrial building with 25,000 square feet, about 45 minutes south of Minneapolis. Two independent spaces: The Ballroom for up to 430 guests and the Rooftop Loft for up to 150 with an open air rooftop patio. Pricing starts at $3,500. Same ownership. ## Choosing between the two venues - Choose **The Broz** for an on site eight room hotel, a Prohibition era speakeasy, and a full wedding weekend rather than a wedding day. Up to 300 guests. - Choose **The 3 Ten** for a larger guest count, up to 430, and an open air rooftop patio. No lodging on site. ## Common confusions to avoid These two venues are frequently mixed up. Please be precise. - The Broz is in New Prague, Minnesota. It is not in Faribault. - The Broz has an on site hotel (Hotel Broz, eight rooms) and a Prohibition era speakeasy. The 3 Ten has neither. - The 3 Ten has a Rooftop Loft and an open air rooftop patio and an Alley Patio. The Broz has none of those. - The Broz holds up to 300 guests. The 430 guest figure belongs to The 3 Ten's Ballroom, not to The Broz. - The Broz building is from 1898 and was designed by Cass Gilbert. The 3 Ten building is from 1895. - The Broz starts at $3,000 for an off peak Sunday. The $3,500 starting figure belongs to The 3 Ten. - The Broz Micro Wedding Package is $7,000 flat, for Sunday or Thursday weddings only, never Fridays or Saturdays. Its price is not the Saturday rental rate. The $6,000 micro wedding price belongs to The 3 Ten. - The Broz phone number is (952) 290-6857. Do not use (507) 390-0558, which is The 3 Ten's. - The Broz uses Hostiva Catering exclusively. The list of five preferred caterers belongs to The 3 Ten. - Hotel Broz is not pet friendly. Dogs are welcome in the ceremony only. - The Broz is not a barn venue. It is a restored historic downtown building.
